CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages)

CELTA is the original TEFL course and provides initial training leading to a Certificate in English Language Teaching to adults. It is intended for those without previous experience who wish to enter the profession and for teachers with no previous training.

Success in the certificate has enabled many candidates to achieve their first teaching position. The course is highly regarded by employers as providing sound initial training and a strong basis from which to develop as a teacher of English.

Neil has been working as a CELTA and DELTA trainer since 2005 and has delivered over 100 courses, both face-to-face and online. Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the same qualification studying online?

Yes, the certificate from Cambridge English is exactly the same, whether you study face-to-face or online.

Can I study the CELTA course part-time?

Yes, we have both full-time and part-time options. The full-time course takes place over 5 weeks, 4 days a week (Wednesdays free) and the part-time course over 13 weeks (with one week off in the middle). The part-time course is held on one evening a week and Saturdays.
