General Terms and Conditions
This document must be read in conjunction with the course-specific terms and conditions. Please note that some of the courses have their own separate terms and conditions which might be different from these. Once a completed application form is submitted and an enrolment is accepted by ELTeach, the following conditions (as outlined in the Payment, Refund, Cancellation and Safety sections below) become legally binding. All trainees agree to be bound by the regulations, policies and procedures of ELTeach.
Payment of Fees
Course fees must be paid in full at least 21 days prior to the start of the course or immediately upon booking if less than 21 days prior to the start of the course. In the case where a Confirmation of Enrolment letter is required, we recommend that full fees are paid at the time of booking.
General Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation more than 21 days before the course start date: You will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. For the CELTA course, this deposit is £300 and forms part of your total course fee — it is not an additional charge. For all other courses, the deposit is 15% of the course fee.
- Cancellation between 21 and 14 days before the course start date: You will be charged your non-refundable deposit plus 25% of the course fee. For the CELTA course, the deposit is £300 (included in your course fee). For all other courses, the deposit is 15% of the course fee. For example, if your course costs £1,180, you would be charged £595 in total (15% + 25% of £1,180).
- Cancellation between 14 and 7 days before the course start date: You will be charged your non-refundable deposit plus 50% of the course fee. For the CELTA course, the deposit is £300 (included in your course fee). For all other courses, the deposit is 15% of the course fee. For example, if your course costs £1,180, you would be charged £767 in total (15% + 50% of £1,180).
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the course start date: No refund will be issued and the full course fee will be charged.
Cancellations must be received by us in writing (by post or email) within these timescales. No refund of fees will be made after the start of the course.
ELTeach reserves the right to cancel a course if there are insufficient students (minimum 6) registered on a course. In this case, an alternative course will be offered or a full refund will be given.
Code of Conduct and Safety
ELTeach is a very safe and caring environment for studying. To safeguard the health and safety of trainees, students and staff, we reserve the right to expel any trainee or student (e.g., in case of gross misconduct). In the event of such expulsion, no refund of fees will be made by ELTeach.
