Alex Walls lives in Cambridge, UK, and has been involved in ELT since 2012, when he completed the CELTA. After five years teaching in Uzbekistan, China and Oman, Alex moved to Russia where he completed his Delta and became a Director of Studies. While in Russia, Alex became very interested in teacher training, participating in many local conferences and at IATEFL as a recipient of the LAM SIG (Leadership and Management Special Interest Group) scholarship. He also had articles published in HLT Mag and IATEFL’s Voices. During the covid lockdown, Alex began working as a CELTA trainer online. Since 2023, Alex has moved back to the UK and currently works as the Academic Manager of the Cambridge Centre for Languages, and has a YouTube channel for teachers – Alex Walls ELT – where he discusses aspects of methodology, language and working as a teacher.
