Helen Finnerty has been working at the Language Centre in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of Leeds since 2012. She helps support undergraduate international students and co-leads a Pre-sessional Module for Language for Arts and Humanities supporting postgraduate students. She also works as a team providing in-sessional support for postgraduate students in the School of Education on the MA in TESOL Studies. Before this, she travelled and taught EFL in a range of contexts including International House in Buenos Aires where she was based for 15 years working as a Director of Studies and a CELTA and DELTA trainer. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Leeds and studied for an MA in English Studies at the University of Sheffield. Her current interests include exploring creative and inclusive pedagogies as well as decolonising the curriculum.
