Marcela Cintra is based in Vancouver, Canada. She has been working in ELT for 30 years. She is a passionate teacher educator, CELTA and Delta trainer and frequently volunteers for teacher associations in the hope of contributing to a developing culture among English language teachers. She holds a BA in Language and Literature and an MA in TESOL from the University of Nottingham, and she enjoys researching and studying how feedback, meaningful interactions and empathy may strengthen language teaching and learning. She has presented practice and research-oriented papers in BBELT, BCTEAL, BRAZ-TESOL, IATEFL and TESOL conferences. With the CELTA – face-to-face and online – she has worked in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Spain and the UK.
