Neil McCutcheon, now based in Toronto, has Joint Honours in Philosophy and Modern History from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. He began teaching in 1991, and did CELTA in London before travelling overseas to work in teacher training and development with VSO Ghana. Moving back to London in 1999, he taught ESOL, EFL and EAP at Harrow College where he co-ordinated the IELTS programme across the college. After completing his Trinity Diploma in TESOL, he relocated to Budapest in 2004, where he became a CELTA and DELTA trainer. He was also Head of Teacher Training at The ELT Hub in France for 5 years. He is interested in Second Language Acquisition, and how this interfaces with language teaching; and has presented several times at IATEFL and other international conferences. He co-authored Activities For Task Based Learning (Delta publishing, 2019).
