Valerie Reynolds, currently residing in Edinburgh, holds an MA in English from Aberdeen University and acquired her English Language Teaching credentials at International House London. She is a CELTA tutor and assessor with extensive experience teaching EFL/ESL/EAP in Africa and Greece. Upon returning to Edinburgh, she taught at Basil Paterson College for an extended period, eventually transitioning into a role as a teacher trainer for the CELTA programme. In 1999, she departed from the college to establish her own language school, the Randolph School of English, initially focusing on teacher training by offering CELTAs and international teacher training initiatives. Over time, the school expanded its offerings to include adult summer programmes and large closed groups, predominantly teenagers, throughout the year. After 16 years, Valerie sold the school to pursue a quieter lifestyle, but carried on working on CELTAs. Additionally, she has served as a local tutor for the DELTA programme and has contributed to Trinity TESOL diploma courses.
