Post-CELTA ELT Methodology

This online course is ideal for you if you:

  • have not taught for a while and would like to brush up your skills before you return to teaching
  • have completed a TEFL course in the past but feel the need to refresh your knowledge before you start teaching
  • have not taken a break from teaching but would like to learn some new practical ideas, skills and techniques
  • would like to gain some knowledge before undertaking the CELTA or another certificate-level TEFL course
  • have not taken a break from teaching but would like to stay up-to-date on current methodologies and trends, with particular attention paid to teaching online

Course objectives:

  • to revise/familiarise participants with EFL terminology, methodology, theory and principles
  • to explore strategies for presenting new language and teaching pronunciation, reading, speaking, listening and writing
  • to provide participants with a hands-on experience through lesson observations and lesson planning
  • to explore practical teaching ideas for online lessons
  • to provide participants with ideas and resources for continuous post-course development

 

The Total Qualification Time (TQT) on this course is 50 hours, which includes 30 Guided Learning Hours and 20 additional learning hours spent on unsupervised pre-course preparation, assignment and lesson plan writing, research and reading.

Language requirement: min. C1
